The Department of Paediatrics is committed to nurturing the health of neonates, infants, children, and adolescents through augmented medical care, research, education, and training. Our team includes academic faculties, clinicians, researchers, postgraduate, and administrative staff united in our common goal of improving the health of all newborns, children, and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
Our goal is to preserve, protect, promote, and restore children's health by providing superior instruction, medical care, research, innovation, and policy support. Accountability, enabling mentoring, child friendliness, collaboration, team spirit, good governance, and fraternal ethos are some of our fundamental principles.
Through the OPD, IPD, Zero Delay Ward, and Emergency departments, the Department of Paediatrics offers patient care services round-the-clock. In general paediatrics, neonatology, and paediatric critical care, eminent professors and highly qualified faculties are available for consultation.
Outpatient services
CHILDRENS’ SPECIALTY CLINICS
Immunization clinics are open from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM every working day.
The Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) offers free vaccinations, and other specialised vaccines that the IAP, AAP, and WHO.
Child Counselling Services are offered to assist in fostering the next generation.
Inpatient Care
The ward has an ample number of beds (120 beds) , including general wards, emergency rooms, NICUs, and PICUs, along with cutting-edge investigation and imaging equipment. Patients have the option of being admitted into a general ward, a semi private room, or a private room, all with the added benefit of insurance coverage. Excellent inpatient treatment is offered, and doctors and personnel are available round-the-clock to take care of the patient's needs.
We have specialized intensive care units for children and offer paediatric emergency services round-the-clock (PICU and NICU). Our PICU has 15 beds and is a level III facility. It has state-of-the-art multimodal monitoring, including ECHO, EEG, ICP monitoring, mechanical breathing (both invasive and non-invasive), CRRT, and bronchoscope equipment.
Our NICU is a Level III facility and is equipped with all cutting-edge technologies, such as Neonatal Invasive & Non-Invasive Ventilation, High Frequency Ventilation, Nitric Oxide Therapy, Care of Extremely Low Birth Weight Infants, Post General & Cardiac Surgical Care of Newborns, Therapeutic Hypothermia, Point of Care Ultrasound, Neonatal Transport, Follow Up of NICU Growth and Developmental Support Programs, and Community Based Neonatal care.
