Outpatient Services
The Department of Orthopaedics, being a tertiary care centre, functioning for the past 18 years, receives a variety of challenging cases, in all the field of orthopeadics. The patients attending the out patient services are subjected to detailed evalution and appropriate investigations to arrive at the diagnosis and the required treatment is administered.
Trauma
Polytrauma patients presenting to our emergency department are immediately attended to by a team of surgeons with specialized services(plastic surgery, neuro surgery,vascular surgery, etc ) being available throughout the day. Patients are triaged and managed according to the severity of their injury. The trauma victims are taken up immediately for emergency surgery when the need arises. Injuries which do not require hospitalization are treated as outpatient and followed up in the outpatient services of the department.
Spine
The spine surgery services headed by a senior orthopaedic spine surgeon, manages efficiently all types of spinal disorders like degenerative spinal disorders, spinal infections, tumors of the spine and spinal deformities. Inpatient Services
The Orthopaedic department with 200 beds functions with five orthopaedic units headed by senior Orthopaedic Professors. The best possible inpatient care is being offered, utilizing the team consisting of Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, senior and junior residents. The orthopaedic wards are well equipped to cater to the needs of the patients admitted. Special wards are offered based on the needs and preferance of the admitted patients. Patients requiring specialized (post-operative/ polytrauma) care are lodged in the intensive postoperative wards and intensive care units(ICU) when-ever needed. The paramedical staff including staff nurses and ward attenders ensure quality care to the patients admitted in the wards.
